Confidentiality & Release of Information
All information received from you is confidential and will only be disclosed to others upon a signed consent to release all or part of your information. In case of children under 18 years old, the parent/guardian will need to sign the consent to share information. Exemptions to this confidentiality rule include; a) when you, the client, disclose to the therapist intentions to harm yourself, b) when you, the client, disclose intentions to harm another person, and c) where a client is under the age of 18 and discloses instances of physical or sexual abuse.
Length of Sessions:
Our sessions are 60 minutes in length for Individual sessions, 90 minutes for Couple’s therapy, and 2 hours for family therapy. It is important for you to arrive a few minutes early so that you can have the full time. Please note that once your session has been confirmed, that time is reserved for you. Please give us at least 24 hours notice if you are unable to make the session so we can give the slot to someone else. A cancellation fee of 50% of the fee may be required if the session is not honored.
Fees & Payments
Our current fees are as follows:
- 3,000 for Students pursuing counselling degree
- 5,000 per session for individual therapy.
- 8,500 per family session
- 8,000 for marriage/couple therapy
- 5,000 for Alcohol/Drug Abuse rehabilitation therapy
All payments are due at the time of booking the appointment. We accept payments through Lipa Na Mpesa, Buy Good Till Number: 857349, company name: Harbour Counselling & Consulting, Paypal for those outside Kenya, as well as through bank transfer (account details will be provided upon request.)
Crisis, phone calls, texts and emails in between sessions:
Sometimes you might find yourself in a crisis and are unable to wait until the next session. You can call the therapist/counsellor, text or email. Since the counsellor might be in session and unable to respond to your call immediately, be assured that your call/text/email will be attended to as soon as possible.
